However, I was sensitive before I was born.
By age ten, I was over-medicated for severe asthma and allergies and correspondingly out of sorts. The New York State declared me legally handicapped.
I became a Social Worker after graduating with a BA in Psychology from SUNY Purchase in 2002.
As a Social Worker in NYC, I was excellent at my job but burnt out several times.
It took me until I was 29 and a near-fatal fall on my head to recognize the cause of my childhood illnesses wasn’t what I thought it was. Instead, it was other people’s energy and stress.
Seven years into my Social Work career, I discovered that as an energetically porous empath, I was suffering from taking on my client’s stress (vicarious trauma) and began my search for something else. I didn’t know what I was searching for, but I knew it was something bigger than me.
At this point in my story, I thought the air could kill me (asthma), my food could kill me (peanuts - one of my many allergies), and now I received news that if I turned my head the wrong way, I could die. So, this fall sped up my search, and it was then that I was introduced to a new path and way to see my life.
Dealing with three deadly diagnoses was stressful. But this crisis led me to a community of seekers, healers, and psychic mediums.
At first, I was afraid of the unknown. My Catholic roots created tremendous guilt and resistance to the new scene. But through this community, I could normalize some of the things I discovered about myself. My inner voice started to get a little louder; I listened to it and found a mentor.
I began to see my sensitivity as a strength instead of a weakness.
After a few years of studying the intuitive arts, including learning not to take on other people’s “stuff”, my lifelong, chronic sicknesses disappeared.
In my profound expansion, I grew too big for my Social Work role. I was seeing clients and intuitively had so much to share with them, but as a Social Worker, I was not in a position that allowed me to share that information.
I began to see my sensitivity as a strength instead of a weakness.
I opened the doors of my business as a Psychic Medium in January 2009 and officially retired from Social Work in July 2011. I am proud and grateful for my company; I’ve been featured in numerous publications and named New York’s Top Psychic Medium by Time Out New York. However, I'm outgrowing this role fifteen years into my Psychic Medium career.
Now, in addition to offering award-winning, accurate, psychic medium readings, you can finally see how I work on The Fashion Medium streaming show. I’m proud and excited because previously, no one, not even my friends or partner, could see my work since each reading was private - but not anymore!
I’d have to say my proudest accomplishment is the growth of my school. Trust Yourself: INtuition School has successfully taught people like you to tune out negative influences/energy and find and trust in their inner voice. Many people are surprised to learn that I went to school to develop the skills I have today. I wasn’t born a person who quickly picks up messages for others or knows and follows my intuition. I teach that intuition lives in the body, and anyone can learn it. It’s just like learning a new language or skill. If you wanted to advance in math or French, you’d study a curriculum with a teacher and practice with a community. Intuition is a skill and a language, and that’s why it can be taught and sharpened.

“Not only are Betsy’s readings accurate and always delivered with love and practical advice, but working with her I've also become more aware and trusting of my own intuitive voice. Having led workshops with Betsy I’ve also watched her explain her work in a way that makes it super easy for people to understand, and seen people light up under her loving guidance.”
“Despite my low-grade anxiety, as soon as I saw Betsy’s smiling face, I knew everything was going to be absolutely fine. What occurred was a truly supernatural experience beyond my wildest dreams!”
“Unbelievably grateful for booking a reading with Betsy. It was one of the most profound experiences of my life. Not only did she pick up on what I later confirmed to be a gluten allergy before I even said anything, but she was also able to tap into and understand exactly what my situation was and provide helpful insight.”

“Everything you’d want and more. Finally… an incredibly talented, on-the-mark psychic who is a refreshing, down-to-earth straight shooter. Betsy is no-nonsense, practical and gives you actionable steps to apply her insights to your life. Her vision is crystal clear and she points you back on track with a firm, but loving nudge. Luckily, she’s on my ‘A Team’of inner circle wisdom keepers and advisors.”
“Betsy was really amazingly on point in so many ways! This was the most eye-opening psychic reading I've ever received. There is a family mystery she talked about (from 100 yrs ago) that she brought up that included details not even my closest relatives are privy to. She also gave me life-changing tools (meditation, visualization, etc). This was no ordinary reading.”
“From the moment we first connected on the phone, Betsy’s light and vibrant energy brought me into such a safe and open place to receive. In our session, Betsy was able to tap into my energy and connect to my higher self providing such validation and tools as to how to move forward. Her ease in taking time to explain and make sure her messages resonated was amazing. All through each step of the reading and beyond. Betsy made sure I had the tools to understand and take action to make changes in my own life. Vastly empowering, I would recommend a session with Betsy to anyone!”
